Clinical Supervisor (953)
Hanford, CA

Under the direction of the Clinical Manager for Adult Services, provide leadership and direction to Adult Services as a Clinical Supervisor. To provide leadership and support to the clinical staff assigned to the FSP and Recovery Teams. Ensure that staff are adequately trained and are appropriately utilizing wellness and recovery principles into their clinical work. Review and assign referrals to Mental Health Clinicians I and II within the Adult Service Teams. Ensuring timely response and follow-up of said referrals. Lead Clinical Supervision and other FSP/Recovery team meetings as needed.

How will I contribute

• Support and assist the Clinical Manager for Adult Services as needed.
• May serve as interim manager in the absence of Clinical Manager.
• Provide periodic on call administrative consultation coverage as designated.
• May require availability beyond traditional business hours.
• Ensure Adult Services staff meet all relevant performance standards. This includes, but is not limited to: Productivity standard, Documentation standard, Obtain four hours of Cultural Humility training per year.
• Provide regular individual supervision to all staff members assigned by Clinical Manager.
• Monitor staff performance by running and reviewing routine reports generated by the electronic health care system.
• Attend and participate in intra agency meetings and/or committees as required.
• Assist the Clinical Manager for Adult Services in the completion of program reports (monthly and annually), as required by contracts.
• As needed, serve on the Open Access rotation.
• Ensure all subordinate staff are aware of and adhere to established policies and procedures.
• Ensure a positive and effective working relationship with partner agencies.
• Ensure Kings View’s business interests are monitored and maintained. This will require familiarity with contracts/MOUs between Kings View and partner agencies.
• Achieve basic competence in using our electronic record keeping system. This Includes but is not limited to the following tasks:
• Effective use of EHR Scheduler.
• Effective use creation of daily SALs.
• Effective navigation of the Clinician’s Home Page/Dashboard.
• Effective development and maintenance or caseload.
• Effective use of progress note capacity.
• Effective development and maintenance of assessments.
• Maintain licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
• Maintain continuing education with the Board of Behavioral Sciences to carry out Clinical Supervision.
• Maintain familiarity with and adherence to compliance with the code of conduct and the requirements of the compliance program. These are elements of performance evaluations and conditions of employment.
• Follow all Kings View policies and procedures, administrative directives, all relevant county, state and federal regulations, and any performance obligations contained in Kings View program contracts with other entities.
• Other duties as assigned

What I bring

• Master’s degree in Social Work or related field Required
• Licensure MFT/LCSW/LMFT Required
• 3 years of professional experience working in mental health counseling, psychotherapy, and related social services in a public or certified private welfare or health agency. 2 years post licensure. 1 year experience supervising/directing others.
• BBS Registration Required
• Class C Driving Requirements
• Working knowledge of community and hospital resources. Working knowledge of Windows based computer applications to include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet access.
• Ability to quickly develop rapport with individuals to resolve crisis situations. Ability to assess individual’s potential for dangerousness to self, others and/or grave disability. Ability to make a differential diagnosis between substance abuse and psychiatric emergencies. Ability to appropriately and immediately document interactions with patients and potential patients. Ability to utilize computer technology as required for admission, documentation and other uses. Ability to organize and prioritize workload in a sometimes hectic environment with frequent interruptions
• Interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external customers.
• Experience in risk assessment, crisis intervention, and safety planning
